...RUDOLPH A MODERN DAY PARABLE.......................

WHAT IS A PARABLE? PARABLE:: a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle.

LETS LOOK AT THIS CHRISTMAS SONG IN THE LIGHT OF A PARABLE. THERE ARE MANY PRINCIPALS OF GOD AND THE CHRISTIAN WALK HIDDEN IN THIS SONG.

You know Dasher and Dancer and Prancer and
Vixen, Comet and Cupid and Donner and Blitzen

[ These are the peers of Rudolph. Peers:one belonging to the same societal group especially based on age, grade, or status, and of equal value. ]

But do you recall The most famous reindeer of all? Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. Had a very shiny nose. And if you ever saw it. You would even say it glows.

[ Though not realized at the time, this was Rudolph's gifting. gift: to endow with some power, quality, or attribute. Your gift always has to do with your Destiny, Purpose, and Call of God on your life. Others may not always see the gift. They may look at you and only see that you are different and not fully appreciate the gift. ]

Amplified Bible (AMP)Passage Romans 11:29:29For God's gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.

The King James Version says that The gifts and Callings of God are without repentance. Which mean God will never change his mind. No matter what you do with the calling and gifting of God on your life[ turn away from it or walk in it ] you will stand before Him one day and give an account of what you did with it.

All of the other reindeer. Used to laugh and call him names. They never let poor Rudolph join in any reindeer games.

[ Others may make fun of you and do all they can to discourage you. They may not want to associate with you and do everything they can to drive you away. You will have to make a choice, to forgive and go on, or to walk in unforgiveness and bitterness and ruin your life. Rejection will try to devastate you and stop you from going to your destiny and purpose. You must not let it prevail over you. your gift will make room for you. ]

1st Peter 4:8-10

8. And above all things have fervent charity (love) among yourselves: for charity(love) shall cover the multitude of sins.
9. Use hospitality one to another without grudging.
10. As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

What those people that ridicule and reject you don't realize is that they will need you and your gift at some point in there life. Someone will recognize that you hold the key to their help and deliverance that they need. They will seek you out and ask for help. Hoping that you will not hold the past against them. And what you may not realize is that if you don't walk in forgiveness and not hold on to the hurts and rejection those people gave you. You will miss being God's instrument of deliverance and help in the earth. You will miss your purpose and destiny in God.]

I'm sure Rudolph may have thought he was in the wrong place or even the wrong time period. In the television story of Rudolph he left in search of that place that would embrace him and love him for who he was and accept his glowing nose (gifting). He came across others that were rejected. He learned he needed to forgive and go back and do what he could to help. But in the song we don't see him leave, he just kept hanging around getting hammered with the insults and rejection of others. Have you ever been there? Seems like everyone is against you. Feels like you belong to another time and place. Make No Mistake About It, God Does Not Make Mistakes. This Is your Time And Your Place.

ESTHER 4:14

14For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

Just like Esther you are here for such a time as this. The day will come when you and your gifting will be recognized and called upon. Don't be silent but go to your destiny destroying the works of the devil. Bring light to a dark generation. Let help and deliverance flow from you.

Rudolph came to this point. Let's look at the rest of the song.

Then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa came to say. Rudolph with your nose so bright. Won't you guide my sleigh tonight? Then all the reindeer loved him. And they shouted out with glee. Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer. You'll go down in history.

It could have gone down one of two ways. Rudolph could have been bitter and unforgiving and said, " Hey Santa where were you when all these others were treating me like trash, Where were you? Now you need my help. I don't think so. Let one of these other awesome reindeer lead your sleigh tonight. And we'll see just how great they are. Sorry you two faced blimp. Hit the road. "

That would have been tragic. Rudolph would have missed his destiny and purpose. He chose to forgive and do what he was chosen to do. For such a time as this Rudolph was here.
Rudolph chose the right way to go. The best way. Remember always walk in forgiveness. Always be ready to use you gift. It will take you from being the door mat to being fine china. Rudolph went from being an outcast to leading the sleigh.

FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS ...THAT DAY WILL COME..BE READY TO HEED THE CALL..BE READY TO GO TO YOUR DESTINY. THIS IS YOUR GENERATION. AND FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS YOU ARE HERE.

Hebrews 12:15 and Mark 11:22-26 and Matthew 18: 21-35 Scriptures on bitterness and forgiveness.
